For Emergencies, ALL of our full-time physicians are Fellows of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Emergency Medicine Residency Trained and are certified by ONLY the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. Be careful of other Freestanding Emergency Departments who make the claim that all their physicians are “Board Certified.” That’s because their physicians are certified in specialties other than Emergency Medicine. Only Emergency Medicine Residencies offer the comprehensive and unique training that enables one to acquire expertise to be fully qualified to work in an Emergency Department (ED), whether in a hospital or in a Freestanding ED. And, no other Freestanding ED can make the claim that all their full-time physicians are Fellows of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
